Starbright Express

     Starbright Express is a publication of Grapevine Elementary School, celebrating the original writing and art of the students at GES in grades 2, 3, 4, and 5. Grapevine Elementary is one of over 300 schools in Texas that participates in the Rising Star Writing Project. The project publishes the state magazine, Rising Star, Young Texan Tales, comprised of stories, poetry and art solicited from students in grades 2-6 throughout the state. All participating schools must publish their own campus magazine. In addition, one student from each grade will have his/her story, poem, or artwork selected to be sent to the state level for consideration for publication in the state magazine. These students are invited to attend the state celebration in Austin where the new edition of Rising Star is unveiled.
