Biography
I am a native, fourth-generation Texan from right here in this area. I was born at Harris Hospital in Fort Worth, as a matter of fact! I attended Birdville schools (Mullendore Elementary, North Oaks Junior High and Haltom High...go Buffs!) and went on to be an Aggie. Whoop, Class of '96!
I graduated from Texas A&M University in December of 1996 with a bachelor's degree in Biology. As I was finishing, I began my studies in Interdisciplinary Studies (also known as Elementary Education). I graduated again in May 1998. I have also attended Hardin-Simmons University and received a Gifted and Talented Endorsement.

I began my teaching career here at Dove Elementary in August of 1998. So, yes, this is my tenth year to teach and tenth year in third grade!
I love science! I love my students to love science, too! In fact, that is a major goal of mine every year...to teach students to enjoy science!

I am married to our Dove music teacher, Mr. Kevin Strang. We have a wonderful daughter, Celia.
Some of my hobbies include spending time with my family, working out (lifting weights, spin class), cooking and baking, making cards/stamping, reading and watching television...the latter I have difficulty fitting into my schedule these days.
