Welcome back to another exceptional year at Bear Creek Elementary School. We hope you had a fun and relaxing summer with your children. The Bear Creek staff has been busy all summer attending various training opportunities, and we have spent many hours planning new and exciting activities for your children this year.

Please remember school begins at 8a.m., and we need everyone here on time each day with a full stomach and a smile on their face! Children who are late will go directly to their class. Teachers will keep tardy records. If your child arrives earlier than 7:50, we request that he/she go either to the gym (Grades k-2) or the cafeteria (Grades 3-5) where they will be supervised by Bear Creek Staff. Please do not send your children to school earlier than 7:30am, because there will not be anyone on duty until that time. Children will be escorted to their classes by grade level teachers each morning at the appropriate time.

We have many opportunities for you to volunteer your time if you are available. We love our Bear Creek parents and all they do for the school each year. Don’t forget to join PTA and be an active member! We can not do it without you!

We will have two early release days for K-5 on Wednesday, September 10 and Thursday, September 11. The teachers will be assessing the students’ skills and needs. Other special events include our PTA sponsored “Big Splash” Dance on Friday, Sept. 5 from 7 to 9 PM.

Traffic seems to be flowing very well. Thank you for following the traffic guidelines. Please do not use cell phones while in the drive thru lane. We want to keep Bear Creek a safe place for everyone.
