ESL
The goal of "English as a Second Language" (ESL) is to ensure that non English speaking students develop and apply the reading, writing, and comprehension skills necessary for excellent academic performance.
Learning the English language cannot be achieved overnight- it requires a rigorous, proven process. ESL students participate in the program until they pass the TAKS test. They may be exempted the first two years they are in the United States but will be required to take TAKS after that.
Needless to say, a command of the English language is essential to success in America. If you'd like to volunteer or further support our wonderful ESL students or secure more insight into the program, please feel free to contact us at any time. | |
