Band Camp 2009 Information is Now Available
We would like to encourage you to consider enrolling your child in a band camp this summer.  Band camps are extremely beneficial for all performance levels.  Without the structure of the daily band class, it is difficult to motivate students to practice over the summer months.  Band camps have proven an effective way to help students continue their interest and progress.  Click on the tabs above for more information.

GCISD Band Camp
We are pleased to announce the dates for the 2009 GCISD Summer Band Camp.  The camp will be held at CHHS June 21-26.  The camp will be staffed by many of the GCISD band directors.  Click on the link above for more information.  Register by May 15 for the best rate.

Incoming 6th Grade Students
We are making plans to include you in the Cross Timbers Middle School Band.  This is a very exciting time for us when we get to meet our new students.  Very soon we will be visiting the elementary campuses to present the instruments.  Look for us on your campus soon.

We look forward to meeting you soon!

Holiday Gift Ideas
There are many gift ideas for the young musician.  Metronomes, tuners, mutes, music stands, instrument stands, books, sheet music, cd's, and iTunes gift cards make wonderful stocking stuffers and gifts for any musician young or old.  If Santa is in the mood for a new instrument, check out the link above for ideas on step-up instruments for the advancing music student.  The music links page has links to the local music stores who have plenty of accessories and instruments in stock.  I would be happy to visit with anyone and answer questions about purchasing a step-up or more advanced instrument.  Happy Holidays!
