Rock Slide Show - Great Graphics!               
Take a look at the rock slide show to see and learn about different rocks. Look for rocks you've collected or seen before:

Different Types of Rocks:
Project Integrate Unit of Practice.  Students will use the teacher created web page to learn the basics of the kinds of rocks.  Then they will use the extension links to research characteristics of the three types:  igneous, metamorphic, and sedimentary.

Students will learn the difference between rocks and minerals and about the three kinds of rocks.  After visiting all the web sites, the student will take a short quiz.

Watch the slide show on rock collecting safety.  Then take the quiz.

Rocks and Minerals Detectives Webquest
Students research a particular kind of rock or mineral and create a Kid Pix slide show presentation
