A bit more about me...
I am privileged to have been born an Army Brat. My father was a colonel in the U.S. Army and served in the military for 26 years. As a result, we have lived and traveled all over the world: Texas, Kansas, Arkansas, Maryland, Colorado, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, to name a few. I am now convinced that I have a gypsy's soul and love to travel to this day. I have visited Ireland, Italy, Canada, Mexico, Russia, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Holland, Estonia, Denmark...and I long to visit Prague and the Provence region of France! Maybe even see the Great Wall of China and the ruins of Greece! So many places, so many wonderful people and cultures, and so little time (and money!).
As for my profession, this is my 31st year to teach. I have taught grades 6 through 12, all levels, and have found through my years of experience that, while imparting knowledge to kids is, of course, my job, my mission and greatest joy is helping them find the gifts that reside in themselves...this, in fact, is what they remember. It is what they take with them when they leave a classroom...
